Hi! Thanks for visiting the City Block Trails page!

For the past several years I have been challenging myself to explore all 50 miles of trail in the Wissahickon Valley Park! Every mile I complete and dollar I raise helps create a cleaner and greener Wissahickon Valley Park for all!

I feel so fortunate to be able to hike regularly in this glorious park. I can be a creature of habit and have a few sections of trail that are my go to trails. I love this challenge because it motivates me to literally seek a change of scenery and explore parts of the park I otherwise might not. Also, it feels good to do good and raising funds to support this beautiful place which supports so much flora & fauna as well as giving the people who visit a respite from the fast pace of life in the city is important to me.

Hiking in the Wissahickon helps me to slow down, breathe, appreciate the artistry of nature, and to feel more connected to this amazing place and to those kindred spirits who love it too.

This year my son, Ari, is taking the challenge with me! We are often joined by his younger brother, Ezra, my husband Jeff and my little shadow, Monty. I love spending time with the kids hiking, especially in the Wissahickon Valley because they’ve grown up in these woods.
